Coating Free | Scratch Resistance
Coating free rims come out of the molds as a finished product. Traditionally, rims are wet-sanded to remove imperfections like excess resin and then sprayed with a clear coat. Coating free rims come with a factory finish and the outer carbon layer is never disturbed after the curing cycle is completed which contributes to the hardest wearing and finish we have ever produced. |

Our experienced warranty team is ready to handle all claims promptly and efficiently, ensuring that cases are resolved as quickly as possible. All 8LIEN wheelsets come with a comprehensive 3-year warranty against material or workmanship defects, starting from the date of receipt of your wheels.
Areas Not Covered by Warranty
- Improper assembly or maintenance.
- Installation of parts, accessories, or tires not originally intended for or compatible with the rims/wheels.
- Vulnerable parts such as bearings, valves, quick releases, thru axles, and brake pads.
- Damage or failures due to a crash, accidental damage, product misuse, heat damage, non-compliance with manufacturer specifications, or other external factors.
- Exceeding the wheel’s weight limit or tire pressure, and riding in unsuitable terrain or conditions.
Within 60 days of product receipt, 8LIEN covers shipping costs for manufacturing defects. After this period, the customer assumes shipping costs and possible customs duties. Also, our warranty program is non-transferable and applies solely to the initial purchaser of the wheelset. For warranty claims, please contact us at service@8lienbike.com.
CRASH REPLACEMENT POLICY
We understand that accidents can happen unexpectedly, and we're here to support you through those challenging moments. All 8LIEN carbon wheels enjoy a free lifetime crash replacement. In the unfortunate event that your carbon wheels are damaged due to a crash, we offer discount on all replacement parts. Please note:
- The shipping fee and possible customs duties under the Crash Replacement Policy is borne by the customer.
- This policy only covers structural damage that affects the safety of the product. It does not cover cosmetic damage.

8lien L5 Wheelset offering low weight at 1180g with a rim depth of 45mm front/ 50mm rear and an impressive price😮 It’s the most responsive, most direct wheels I’ve ever accelerated. I could feel the power transfer was smooth and fast on climbs and even on flat terrains. Feels like I’d probably find it easier to ride since I used this wheelset. Speedy and smooth ride, while the light weight means it climb really easily, and stability make them fast on the downhill side too. Overall, I’m very satisfied👍 Got good results with this wheelset😎

Tested these L5 carbon wheels out on a windy day on a ride of 85 miles and 4,500ft climbing - was using tubes so psi +20/30 from my normal pressure but didn’t extra rough in any way.
Found them to be very responsive to my mashing style of riding (I like to stand up and hit hard and they were felt every bit up to it)
Steady in the crosswind and downhills - didn’t feel any rattle the entire ride e even with the gusts and a couple of steeper downhills
Didn’t stress them too much on the flats but found them to be noticeably lighter than my current wheel set and rolled nicely throughout the day.

I got the wheels yesterday. They are very nice and very light. Really love the 3k weave on the rim bed. I'm impressed. Initial reaction is the finish and quality is very nice and the weight difference is noticeable on acceleration efforts. I weighed the wheels, 1185g, right where the website says they should be. Right now they’re on my Allez Sprint. Everything felt good on my ride, the difference in weight was noticeable.
